I love the book "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" By Martin Jr and John Archambault. I first read this book working in a toddler room in a preschool and fell in love with it. I love books that I can sing the words to, and this book is perfect for that. I sing this book, and it just flows perfectly, it also keeps the children entertained throughout the book. This book is also great because it goes through the alphabet, and after we read it a few times, the children started to sing along with me. I cannot wait to buy a copy of this book to read to my child.
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom has been in the personal repertoire since the first year as a lead. It covers a wide range of learning objectives. Letter identification, creating interest in literature and several emotional awareness opportunities are created each time this book is a part of the lesson plan. There is a version read by Ray Charles that is outstanding for introductory purposes. Superb choice! Travis Alumbaugh
