Hi Mary. when I read Janet Gonzalez -Mena's first quote, I felt it addressed my work. Dr. Stanley Greenspan's DIR, Floor-time method, (The Interdisciplinary Council on Development and Learning, Inc (n.d.), focuses in Following the child's lead. By doing so, we have the opportunity to learn about the child's passion, thinking and inner world. I am using it every day when I interact with my students. It takes practice to become a follower when You are used to lead, but the consequences are priceless!
